The latest issue of Futubasha's Monthly Manga Town magazine announced that the magazine will run new installments of the Crayon Shin-chan manga until their March issue. Futubasha planned to end serialization this month with the last two chapters that creator Yoshito Usui submitted prior to his death. New pages of the series were recently discovered. Monthly Manga Town's staff chose to run the new material, extending the series's run by three months.

Usui passed away in September, after disappearing in the Arafune Mountains in Japan's Gunma Prefecture. Authorities determined that he died from injuries sustained in a fall from a cliff.

The March issue of Monthly Manga Town will hit Japanese news stands on February 5, 2010.
