Spring and Chaos in Aubervilliers

The movie Spring and Chaos (Kenji no Haru) will be screened at the 12th annual Festival de Films Pour Eveiller Les Regards in Aubervilliers, France, on November 15th and 17th. The festival is geared toward children, and over 10,000 are expected to attend.

Created in 1996, Spring and Chaos is a 53-minute animated biography of Kenji Miyazawa, a popular modern poet in Japan. The film was created by Shoji Kawamori, also known for his work on various Macross works, Escaflowne and Patlabor 2. The film is available in the US from TOKYOPOP, at a suggested retail price of $29.99.

The Pour Eveiller Les Regards festival runs until November 21st. Some of the other anime films screening at the festival are Jarinko Chie,Taiyo no Ouji Hols no Daibouken (Little Norse Prince), and a Miyazaki trio: Tonari no Totoro (My Neighbor Totoro), Tenkuu no Shiro Rapyuta (Laputa: Castle in the Sky), and Kiki's Delivery Service.
